December 2021
Dear ,

As you decorate your home for the holidays and prepare for guests or gatherings, it’s a great time to look around and decide what improvements you may want for your home in 2022. This month we cover some home improvement ideas that will make your house more efficient, useful, and all-around more enjoyable for you and your family in the new year.

But first, let's take a look at some unique kitchen island designs for your home. Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Do you feel like your current kitchen space is a little bit underwhelming? Maybe what you need is a unique and possibly over-the-top kitchen island to liven up the room.

Kitchen islands can be more than just a rectangular centerpiece in your kitchen. New trends are allowing homeowners to get very creative with their island. If you think your kitchen is in need of something out of the ordinary, we have some exciting ideas for you.

Maybe some of these ideas will not suit your style, but at the very least, they’ll give you some creative inspiration!

Triangular
A triangular island is an excellent choice for a smaller kitchen or one that may be positioned strangely. The three sides will allow for more seating since you can use two sides for seating, while the third will be used for the host to prepare food closer to the stove and refrigerator.

A triangular space will also give you the opportunity to create more functional storage set up with more shallow cabinets that will make your items easier to access than in a rectangular island.
5 Helpful Home Improvements for 2022
When you remodel your home, why not look for ways to break up the beige monotony with color. Bold statements or small splashes of color are all the rage as we end this year and enter into 2022.

If you need some ideas on how to incorporate color into your home renovation, we've got you covered.

Upgrade Your Home Office
There will be no return to the office for many of us and working from home is our new way of life. Now is the time to invest in a space that will make your workday more enjoyable and productive.

First, you’ll need to find a space in your home to use. This space should have privacy and enough space for you to spread out. Some good choices are a guest room, the garage, or the basement.

If you don’t have any of those spaces available, we could always build on an addition to your home. From there, we can install noise-canceling insulation, built-in shelves, and hardwood floors to make the space look and feel like a place where you want to get things done.

Replace Your Doors and Windows
A more practical upgrade you can do to your house is to replace old exterior doors and windows. Replacing these items will boost your curb appeal and make your home more energy-efficient since any drafts will be kept out in the cold.

Replacing doors and windows also increases your home’s value, sometimes by as much as $10,000, depending on the windows you choose, and the size of your home.

Update Your Kitchen
One good thing about the pandemic is that many of us stopped relying on fast food and take out and began cooking at home. If you’d like your cooking space to be a little bit more up-to-date, then maybe a kitchen remodel should be on your 2022 to-do list.

We can install cabinets with pull-out drawers so you have enough space for all of your newly acquired cooking equipment. A large island with plenty of prep space on beautiful granite or marble countertops is another must-have.

And, while you’re at it, let’s upgrade those appliances too!

Add An Outdoor Living Space
Spending more time at home may have made you realize you need more space. Since it’s pretty difficult to expand your home, we could maximize your space by creating outdoor living spaces.

These could include enclosing a patio or building a new screen room. You can use this space as an outdoor dining space or put in a TV and make it another space to relax and watch television at the end of the day.

If we get started soon, we can create an outdoor living space where you can enjoy the spring and summer.

Create A Spa-Like Bathroom
With everything that’s happened in the last few years, it’s easy to be stressed. Taking time for yourself has never been more important, which is why transforming your bathroom into a spa-like retreat would be a great home upgrade to make in 2022.

We can include a large soaking tub as well as a beautifully tiled walk-in shower with dual shower heads and a bench to relax on. We’ll paint the space in a tranquil yet trendy shade of blue or green to help clear your mind.

Do any of these projects sound like something you’d like to take on in the new year? Let us know! We’re here to help you from start to finish.
